BORZALINO OPENS ITS DOORS IN ABIDJAN

On May 25th, BORZALINO officially opened its doors in Abidjan, and will be exclusively sold at Phenicia – Vivez le Comfort.

PARTNERSHIP

Phenicia is one of the undisputed market leaders in Ivory Coast for everything related to home building, as well as a historic partner for our family, thanks to a relationship that has lasted for 12 years now.
In September 2022, we decided to open a space entirely dedicated to BORZALINO and, in 6 months, we completed the project.
The process has been a wonderful teamwork that involved us in a joint effort, made of passion and coordination: from sales accounts to designers, from artistic direction to management.

OPENING

The inaugural opening, held on May 25th, was the first big event organized by Phenicia in its showroom. Having this first experience together and bring the authentic Made in Italy to Abidjan has been a great honour!
The event has been studied in detail and had great impact. It was attended by several guests and important personalities, such as the Minister for Integration, the Minister of Finance and the Lebanese Ambassador in Abidjan.
We thank Phenicia, the city of Abidjan and the Ivory Coast for this warm welcome!

FURNITURE

The showroom has 6 environments, all with a natural and light palette, where cream, dove grey, cognac, straw colours prevail, and some more flamboyant accent points stand out.
Sofas, armchairs, chairs, tables, coffee tables, bookcases and mirrors have been combined with the aim of immersing visitors in our mood and let them imagine the Living of their dreams.
We have used many of BORZALINO’s iconic materials, such as Sequoia leather: with its unique cloudy nubuck effect, it covers Taylor armchairs in straw colour, Lisa armchairs and Eclipse mirror in sugar paper blue.
BORZALINO’s classics can be seen not only in upholsteries, but also in finishes: for example, Blue Island veined marble on Dorian table and Shield coffee tables, or Canaletto walnut wood for Gordon and Nima bookcases.
However, we also brought new, intriguing materials to Abidjan. An example is Vanilla, a water-repellent leather with a silky touch, that can be discovered in two of the living rooms, dedicated respectively to Ayton and Martin sofas.
Among stones, there is an interesting novelty too: Pietra Pece, used in Brock coffee table, is a Sicilian calcarenite that has unique chromatic variations and the presence of fossils and veins.
